Eminem’s former wife was born Kimberly Ann Scott Mathers on Jan 9, 1975, in Warren. She was born alongside her twin sister, Dawn Scott to their parents Kathleen and Casimer Sluck. She was brought up in Michigan together with her sister.
2. Kim had a very challenging childhood
It is known that Eminem had a very rough childhood, but his former wife also had a similar experience while growing up. The marriage of her parents came to an end when she was a little girl, and that made her childhood experience even worse.

Eminem was once dragged before the court for assaulting a man he caught kissing his then-wife, Kimberly Mathers in 2000. The rapper was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
Eminem later settled the case with the said man, John Guerra, paying $100,000 in damages. Kim insisted Marshall Mathers mistaken what was an innocent kiss.
It was a few months after this incident that the rapper filed for divorce from Kim.

In 2000 during his Up in Smoke tour, Eminem performed one of his most controversial songs, Kim, where he envisioned killing his then-wife and dumping her body in a lake. In the fallout, Kim was found with a slashed wrist at their home in Sterling Heights, Michigan in what was a suicide attempt.
Her next attempt at taking her life was in 2015 when she took pills and sped with her car for the electric pole, hoping to end her life. She was charged with DUI and was sentenced to 1-year probation and was made to pay $900.
