You don't hear the c in Brock or the t in Butch, either. (Really, do you say/hear "Brok-k"/"Brosk" or "But-ch" [where "but" is like book with a t]? I say/hear "Brok" and "Buch" [like book with a ch].)I feel it's spelled without the t, personally. However, even if it were spelled with it, it wouldn't be pronounced "rit-chee".
I remember a long while ago ("before the Indigo Pokémon League battles started" long ago), there was a series of commercials introducing each of Ash's opponents. They had their names across the bottom of the screen. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good look at Richie's, and even if I had managed to, I wouldn't have remembered....
