TELETUBBIES fans all had the same complaint after the TV icons spoke for the first time ever on This Morning.

Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po appeared on the ITV breakfast show to promote their new upcoming album Ready, Steady, Go! yesterday morning.

Presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby managed to get a chat with the childhood favourites to talk about their 25th anniversary.

The group, which first graced our screens back in 1997, are up against the likes of Coldplay and Spice Girls for the number one spot in the charts.

Phillip asked them: "So, do you think you’re going to beat them?"

Laa Laa replied: "Teletubbies song the bestest song!"

Po added: "Teletubbies number one!"

Holly asked if they'll make another appearance on the programme, to which Po replied: "We love Holly and Phil!"

But viewers of the show were left confused and flocked to Twitter to point something out.

One said: "I don't remember the Teletubbies talking before."

Another sarcastically pointed out: "Don't remember the Teletubbies having such a wide vocabulary."

Meanwhile others pointed out how bizarre the appearance was.

A third asked: "Am I drunk? #teletubbies on #ThisMorning with a new song."

Another tweeted: "Why the f*** am I watching Phil and Holly talk to f***ing Teletubbies? Am I high?"

Teletubbies is one of the most popular children's television programmes of all time.

A whopping 485 episodes ran over nine seasons between 1997 to 2001.

In 2015 a revival series was released and is still on air now.

Ready, Stead, Go! will be released on October 15 2021
